Student Advisors to the Chancellor

Rama Parasar is a 4th year majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Public Health, passionate about advancing health equity and improving access to care for underserved communities. Growing up between India and the United States shaped her perspective on cultural diversity and inspired her interest in global health. She volunteers at the Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic, supporting patients from marginalized backgrounds, and serves as a Hindi translator at Shifa Community Clinic to help bridge language gaps in medical care. She helps organize the Pre-Health Conference, one of the largest student-run health conferences in the nation. In addition, Rama has been involved with the Student Disability Center for over three years, ensuring equitable testing accommodations for students. She is also engaged in emergency medicine research and plans to pursue a career in medicine that combines clinical practice with public health advocacy.
