Student Advisors to the Chancellor

Lailaah Shakur is a fourth-year Sociology with a Law and Society Emphasis Major. She is passionate about public defense, criminal justice, and policy and is hoping to one day become a criminal defense attorney and a Supreme Court Judge. A few of her positions on campus include; the Corresponding and Recording secretary for the Lambda Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Secretary of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Commissioner of Communications for the Black Pre-Law Student Association. Beyond academics, Lailaah likes to cook, paint, get her maintenance done, and spend time with her friends. She is looking forward to being a part of CUAB to connect with the vast UC community, gain professional development, and become a voice for students.
