The Student Advisors to the Chancellor (SACs) play an important role within Student Affairs. They work diligently throughout the school year with the Chancellor's Undergraduate Advisory Board (CUAB) to bring a collective student voice to the Chancellor and administration. The SAC's key responsibility is to help facilitate administrative and student interaction.

Position Summary:
The SACs work closely and cooperatively with the administration, especially the Chancellor, Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Life, Campus Community and Retention Services, and the Executive Director for the Community Resource and Retention Centers. They share student perspectives, suggestions, or concerns with campus administrators through regular meetings and informal interactions. The SACs initiate, coordinate, or support special projects and events, including logistical management, and serve on a variety of committees generated through regular contact with students and administrators or at the request of the Chancellor or Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Life, Campus Community, and Retention Services.
The SACs also serve as administrative liaisons to the members of the Chancellor’s Undergraduate Advisory Board (CUAB). The SACs assist in the preparation and interviews of the CUAB at-large members and make recommendations on potential candidates. SACs also co-chair the CUAB meetings, prepare agendas, guide CUAB special projects, and assist with student-led initiatives.

2025-2026 Student Advisors to the Chancellor
Emiliano Nolasco
is a first-generation Latino student, coming from a low-income background, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Human Development. The oldest of four, and the first to attend college, like most older siblings, Emiliano tries to be the best role model that he can be.
With various interests in music and the visual arts, Emiliano takes his time to work with what he loves. He has experience as a mentor in EOP, serving as a Peer Advising Counselor for both advising and event planning. He created events for students to learn and understand new topics that aren’t usually taught to students at UC Davis. Now he is looking forward to working with administrators and students with this new position as a Student Advisor to the Chancellor.
Mi-Zauni Reese
is a proud first-generation student, pursuing degrees in Political Science–Public Service and African & African American Studies. The oldest of three, she strives to be a paragon of academic achievement, community advocacy, and Black excellence for her younger sisters, as she works toward a career in public policy. Her upbringing in the Sacramento and Oakland arts scene has shaped her passion for the arts and history. Her fervor for change within systemically marginalized communities influenced her various research projects, conducted through UCCS, the Transformative Justice and Education Center, and the Aggie Scholars Research Initiative, which centers equity in education. She has been a member of the UC Davis Cheer and Majorette teams, founded Boldly Black Women, a club that uplifts and affirms Black women in higher education, and worked at the UC Davis Writing Center, promoting communication and collaboration in writing. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of the Black Pre-Law Student Association, as well as a Student Advisor to the Chancellor, while maintaining her position in BBW and championing representation in academia.
