Neha is a third year double major in Genetics and Genomics as well as Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. As a queer woman of color, Neha is guided by her dedication to her community who support her and give her energy to continue striving toward excellence and justice. She is the co-STEM coordinator at the Women's Resources and Research Center where she tailors programs that promote gender equity and provide support for people in fields that historically exclude gender minorities. Neha also works in a neurogenomics lab where she is part of a team striving to further understand neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Her unique perspective as a student integrated in science as well as feminist intersectional studies allows her to better understand barriers and curate a supportive environment for everyone. In her free time, she enjoys painting, creating stained glass pieces, and printmaking.
