Student Advisors to the Chancellor

Ananya Nipane is a third-year pre-law student majoring in Sociology with a minor in Political Science. She hopes to pursue law school and work as an international human rights lawyer. Originally from India, she focuses her work at the LGBTQIA+ center on catering to international students. She also serves as the Student Life Representative on UC Davis’ Police Accountability Board. As for clubs on campus, she is a board member for UCD IGNITE as a graphic designer and SAKHI as vice president. Through her internship with Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, she has worked with policy-making and legislative issues in California. Based on these work experiences, she has focused her undergraduate research on investigating the feminization and racialization of the legal field in America in the 21st century.
