Student Advisors to the Chancellor

Baani is a queer, nonbinary scientist.  They are a fifth year Cognitive Science major with an emphasis in Neuroscience and a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. They’ve been a community coordinator at the LGBTQIA+ Resource center for 2 years. Their work is centered around finding ways to reduce negative stereotypes surrounding gender identity and sexuality while also fostering positivity and pride through  education and creativity. They aspire to be a psychiatrist for queer and trans youth and hope to eliminate the stigma around mental health.  They're passionate about queering up academia, destigmatizing conversations around mental health, and spreading joy wherever they go!
